I bought a SR700 and found it came without any profiles. I am hoping that some of the people with a lot of batches run could share the knowledge. I have been roasting for years and only Kenya and Tanzanian beans.

      Ignoring the porn links above,
I just got mine too and although I got a basic profile from on here (2.5 mins on low- fan speed 9, 1 min on med fan at 5, 1 min on high fan at 5, 2 mins on low fan at 9- then cooling for 3 mins) for a darker roast but not to a french or italian level, it was not enough time on high for me and so I had to modify it. I believe the ambient temp as well as your actual wall outlet, and how much load is on the house current makes a difference so profiles really don’t help you- I’m learning that. They are basically a decent place to start.

      Sorry that this happened.

We are sharing actual files of our profiles on the new Facebook group FreshRoast Coffee Roasters. I hope others will join!

Oh, and possibly because I have never had an SR500, I’m not sure if my fan speed is up to snuff or not but it would be nice to be able to turn it up more than 9, especially during the initial drying period.

I am new to this and planning on ordering a roaster soon. My question is actually in regards to different recipes for beans. One of my favorite roasts is a mixed blend that several companies mix call a Christmas Blend. I was wondering if anyone knows of any recipes for mixing different blends of beans to make this.

      Thanks.

Here’s another general-purpose profile for the SR700. It has more steps, but has worked well for me for multiple varieties of coffee beans.

Step 1: Fan Speed 9, Time 0.5, Temp Low
Step 2: Fan Speed 9, Time 1.0, Temp Cool (off)
Step 3: Fan Speed 9, Time 0.5, Temp Low
Step 4: Fan Speed 9, Time 1.0, Temp Cool
Step 5: Fan Speed 9, Time 0.5, Temp Low
Step 6: Fan Speed 9, Time 1.0, Temp Cool
Step 7: Fan Speed 9, Time 0.5, Temp Low
Step 8: Fan Speed 9, Time 1.0, Temp Cool
Step 9: Fan Speed 9, Time 0.5, Temp Low
Step 10: Fan Speed 9, Time 1.0, Temp Cool
Step 11: Fan Speed 9, Time 0.8, Temp Low
Step 12: Fan Speed 7, Time 1.0, Temp Low
Step 13: Fan Speed 8, Time 0.8, Temp Medium
Step 14: Fan Speed 7, Time 0.6, Temp Medium
Step 15: Fan Speed 6, Time 0.7, Temp Medium
Step 16: Fan Speed 8, Time 1.0, Temp High
Step 17: Fan Speed 9, Time 0.8, Temp Low
Step 18: Fan Speed 9, Time 1.0, Temp Cool
Step 19: Fan Speed 9, Time 0.3, Temp Cool (end)
